VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
JOIN A SMALL TEAM AND BE PART OF A GROWING INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL.
We’re looking for reliable, friendly and professional volunteers, respectful of our diverse audiences, able to commit to agreed hours (with flexible scheduling available), and enthusiastic about culture, film or community arts. While these are unpaid volunteer roles (not an employee position), we’ll support you with guidance/training where needed and make sure your contribution is recognised.

Social Media & Content Creation
Role Overview
We are looking for someone who can help strengthen LDNDOCS’ digital presence. If you are interested in creating branded content, viral videos, and digital-first media, who understands audiences and loves documentary, and cinematic storytelling, then this role is ideal.
We need support with the planning, creation, and scheduling of content across our social media channels to engage audiences throughout the lifecycle of the festival and our year-round events. That’s where you come in. You’ll be working with both festival directors and a graphic designer to create a strong visual identity that will be applied consistently across all content.

Key Responsibilities

Support the creation of engaging content for social media (posts, stories, reels, short videos, graphics)

Assist with copywriting and adapting messaging for different platforms

Help manage and update LDNDOCS social media channels (e.g. Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Facebook)

Monitor engagement and help identify trends and opportunities to grow our audience

Support live coverage during the festival and events when possible

Bring creative ideas to increase reach, visibility, and engagement

Develop list of potential outreach partners and collaborators to help raise awareness of LDNDOCS programming

Festival & Event Support Team
Role Overview
As a volunteer, you will assist across a range of front-of-house and operational roles during the festival and other LDNDOCS events. We are looking for welcoming, enthusiastic and reliable people to join us and make LDNDOCS a success.
These are great opportunities to experience how film festivals and live events operate behind the scenes.

Available Roles

Pre-screeners: Assist with the selection of films showed at the festival

Mic Runners: Assist during Q&As and panel discussions

Box Office Support: Check and sell tickets, welcome audiences, and provide information

Delegate Information / Guest Relations: Support filmmakers, speakers, and guests with directions and schedules

Venue Coordination: Assist venue staff and LDNDOCS team on the day to ensure smooth operations
